Thrift Store

The Sparrow's Nest is not only a store, it's a place where people come to say hello, get a hug or a shoulder to cry on and share prayer requests.  The generous donations are sorted daily for sale in the store, given to community members in need or given to local and international mission groups.  We are always looking for volunteers and bring along your smile.  The Thrift Store is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Bike Ministry

Our bike ministry repairs over 800 bikes a year.  Bikes are given to our homeless friends, migrant workers, senior adults and children (for Christmas and as incentives for improved performance in school).  Bike Ministry is open on Monday only, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

S.T.A.I.R.

Start The Adventure In Reading (S.T.A.I.R.) is an after school tutorial reading program for second graders.  S.T.A.I.R. meets at the church from 3:00 - 4:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursday during the school year and is always looking for tutors.

Food Pantry

Edgewater's Food Pantry is open on Monday and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for temporary/emergency food assistance.  We try to help those that find themselves in a bind because of the economy and/or loss of a job.  Many, many people depend on our pantry to help them feed their family.  Edgewater works along with the Harry Chapin Food Bank and that allows us to help you through this tough time.  You will need a Charlotte County picture identificatiion when you visit our pantry and are eligible one time per month to stop by for food.
